Shopify SEO and speed
Shopify SEO services that make your store easier to find
TechZone Services provides Shopify SEO services and speed optimization for stores that get too little search traffic or load too slowly. We audit your theme, apps and catalog, fix duplicate URLs, structured data and Core Web Vitals issues, and write collection and product content that matches how your customers search.

Why Shopify SEO
Shopify covers the basics, your store has to do the rest
Shopify generates your sitemap, robots.txt and canonical tags, and its themes include product schema markup. That is a good start, but it does not write your collection copy, stop apps from slowing down product pages, or decide which of your URLs Google should rank. Our Shopify SEO services cover that remaining work: the technical fixes, the content and the speed improvements that separate a store Google can crawl from a store shoppers actually find.
We start with an audit of how your store is built today: the theme, every installed app, duplicate URLs from collection paths and filters, collection and product content, images and structured data. Then we fix issues in order of impact. Speed belongs in the same job, because leftover app code and heavy media hurt Core Web Vitals. Our Shopify development team makes theme-level changes directly, so fixes do not wait on a separate developer.
Selling in more than one country? Shopify Markets can serve localized versions of your store in subfolders or on separate domains, with hreflang tags generated from your market and language settings. We set up the structure, check the tags and help you localize content so each version is worth indexing. For a do-it-yourself starting point, our Shopify SEO checklist lists the checks we run on every store.
Ideal for
- Shopify stores with little organic traffic
- Stores slowed down by apps and scripts
- Brands expanding abroad with Shopify Markets
- Merchants after a migration or redesign
Challenges we solve
What holds Shopify stores back in search
Most issues we find are not platform limits but choices made during setup, app installs and theme edits.
Duplicate URLs for one product
Products load at /products/ and inside collection paths, and filters and tags create more combinations. Canonical tags handle much of this, but some themes link to the duplicate versions, spreading signals across URLs you never meant to rank.
Bare collections, copied descriptions
Collection pages often target the broad category searches that bring buyers, yet many are just a product grid. Product pages reuse supplier text that appears word for word on every other store selling the same item.
Apps that leave code behind
Shopify notes that uninstalling an app does not automatically remove its code from your theme. Review widgets, popups and trackers pile up, adding scripts that slow product pages and hurt Interaction to Next Paint.
Conflicting structured data
Your theme outputs product schema, and SEO or review apps sometimes add a second Product block on top. Duplicate or invalid markup sends mixed signals and makes it hard to tell which product data Google is reading.

Our approach
How we approach Shopify SEO and speed
We treat SEO and speed as one audit, because the same theme code and apps affect both. First we measure, using Search Console, Shopify’s web performance reports, PageSpeed Insights and a full crawl of your store. Then we rank every issue by likely impact and effort and agree the order with you in writing. Theme changes are made on an unpublished duplicate, previewed with you, and logged, so you can connect results to specific fixes.
- Crawl and audit of theme, apps, URLs and content
- Fixes prioritized by impact and agreed before work starts
- Theme changes tested on an unpublished duplicate first
- Collection and product copy written for real searches
- Before and after measurements from real-visitor data
What's included
What's included in our Shopify SEO services
Each engagement is scoped after the audit, so you pay for the fixes your store needs rather than a fixed checklist.
Theme and app audit
We review every installed app, app embed and tracking script, find leftover code from removed apps, and weigh what each one costs in speed against what it earns, so you can decide what stays.
Duplicate URLs and canonicals
We check collection-path product links, filter and tag pages and canonical tags, fix theme links that point to duplicates, and set up redirects for changed handles and discontinued products.
Collection and product content
We map keywords to collections and products, write unique collection intros and product descriptions, and rewrite title tags and meta descriptions per template, following our category and product page method.
Structured data
We test product pages with Google’s Rich Results Test, remove duplicate schema added by apps, and make sure price, availability and review markup match what shoppers actually see on the page.
Speed, images and Core Web Vitals
Our Shopify speed optimization service targets LCP, INP and CLS: trimming scripts, resizing oversized images, fixing lazy-loaded hero images, reducing web fonts and cutting sections that add weight without helping sales.
International SEO with Markets
We set up Markets subfolders or domains, confirm hreflang tags and self-referencing canonicals are output correctly, and help you localize copy, prices and delivery details so each market version deserves indexing.
01
SEO and theme code together
You do not have to hire a Shopify SEO expert and a separate developer. Our SEO specialists and Liquid developers work on the same team, so a problem found in the audit gets fixed in the theme instead of becoming a note for someone else.
02
Built by a team that builds stores
We design and build Shopify stores too, such as Radiance MD, a free theme extended with custom code, and Handmade Studio, built from scratch. That is why we know where theme code hides SEO and speed problems.
03
Honest measurement
We report from Google Search Console, Shopify’s web performance reports and PageSpeed Insights, showing what changed and when. We never promise rankings or traffic, because results depend on competition and on Google’s own systems.
04
Your store stays yours
Your Shopify store, theme, Search Console and Google Analytics stay in your accounts. We work through staff access you can remove at any time, and document every change so your team or another developer can follow it.

FAQ
Questions we often hear
Can’t find what you’re looking for? Send us a message and we’ll answer it directly.
Is Shopify good for SEO, or should I switch platforms?
Shopify handles sitemaps, canonical tags, SSL and product schema automatically, and stores built on it rank every day. Its limits are fixed URL prefixes such as /products/ and /collections/, plus duplicate URLs from collection paths and filters. Those are manageable with the right theme setup and content, so switching platforms is rarely the answer to an SEO problem on Shopify.
Can you guarantee first-page rankings for my store?
No, and be cautious of anyone who does. Rankings depend on competition, your domain’s history and Google’s own systems, which no agency controls. What we commit to is a written plan, documented fixes and regular Search Console reporting, so you see exactly what changed. To see how we would plan it for your store, book a free 30-minute call.
Do I need an SEO app for my Shopify store?
Most stores do not. The sitemap, robots.txt, canonical tags and basic product schema are already built in. An app can help with bulk editing titles and alt text across a large catalog, but some apps add duplicate schema or rewrite title tags in ways that conflict with your theme. We check what an app would add before recommending one.
How long does Shopify SEO take to show results?
Technical fixes, such as indexing problems, can show up within weeks of Google recrawling your pages. Rankings for competitive category searches usually build over several months, depending on competition and how much unique content your store has. We report on Search Console clicks and impressions each month, so you judge progress on real data rather than promises.
Can you speed up my store without changing the theme?
Usually, yes. Most slow Shopify stores are held back by what sits on top of the theme: apps, leftover code, tracking scripts, oversized images and heavy sliders, all covered in our guide to speeding up a Shopify store. We fix those first. If key templates still rate Poor in Shopify’s web performance reports, we explain whether a new theme is worth it.
